Longhouse Running Club training for the Aboriginal RunWalk and the SunRun!
This is a great opportunity to get into fantastic shape, increase your brain plasticity, reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, make new friends, and compete in the SunRun for free!
Training will begin the week of January 14th and finish with the SunRun on Saturday, April 15. The training will be geared towards all types of runners from beginners on up. There will be plenty of activities to choose from and lots of opportunities to get active!

UBC Jump Start is a transformative, transitional academic program for first year international and Aboriginal students. UBC Jump Start provides first year international and Aboriginal students with an intensive two-week academic preparation for university life that is followed by first year transition programming. UBC Jump Start offers a combination of lectures, classes, workshops, residence living, and social and cultural activities led by our outstanding faculty, staff, and student leaders. UBC Jump Start is currently hiring 30-40 Junior Student Leaders. These positions are suitable for developing student leaders who are interested to grow their capacities as leaders and professionals. Dec. 5-21 | Career Services (Brock Hall) We are offering a special round of sessions from December 5-21. Three students will meet with one advisor for 60 minutes to practice MMI prompts. It is a chance to listen to others, get feedback from multiple perspectives, and learn from the different questions and strategies that others are using to structure their answers. Students are asked to sign up for only ONE session in order to make sure that other students also have a chance to book a session. Sign up begins on December 1st.
